Expedition Volta is about adventure and connection!
These 4-day themed adventures are a combination of indoor and outdoor climbing, hiking, crafts and games and exploration designed to facilitate deeper learning.
Through immersive experiences, your child will learn about their own creativity, capacity, and ability to problem solve. They will build confidence in a supportive team environment and hopefully be inspired to stretch beyond their own perceived limitations.
Our son had such a wonderful experience at Expedition Volta that he is begging to go back for another week.
“Hands down the best camp I have ever been to!”

It is the caretaker’s responsibility to drop off and pick up campers at Volta, guiding, and hiking locations. All these locations will be provided on May 1st and will be located on Mount Desert Island (other than Volta).
Locations may vary depending on weather conditions but will be updated immediately if anything changes. Directions and map links for each day will be sent at the beginning of the week via email. We understand that this is not ideal. It is very difficult to find affordable local transportation options, but it seems that purchasing a vehicle is the only long-term possibility. We hope to make it a reality in the future!
-
We will do our best to reschedule the guiding or hiking to another day that week. If that’s not possible, we can offer the chance to drop in another week (if it’s not full) to offer an outdoor climbing experience.
-
Unfortunately, campers cannot make up for missed days. However, we can issue a full or partial refund in the event of an injury or emergency.
