All ages are welcome! We encourage everyone who has an interest in climbing in an intersectional and queer-friendly space to join the meetup. Supportive and respectful allies are welcome too!

  • 🏳️‍🌈 Queer Learn The Ropes class

    A 90-minute introduction to Top Rope Climbing with Volta instructors Jess and Celeste. Come as you are and master the basic skills needed to climb at Volta independent of an instructor.

    This class will focus on: climbing harness basics, how to tie-in, how to belay, as well as give ample time for practice and implementation of those skills.

  • Women + NB Learn the Ropes

    Women + Gender Nonconforming People 'Learn the Ropes' class

  • Women + Gender Nonconforming People 'Bouldering Techniques' class

    NEXT DATE TBD

    This 2-hour bouldering technique clinic is the second in a women and non-binary people bouldering series and will cover techniques to strengthen your climbing vocabulary. The class will focus on specific skills such as heel hooks, cross-throughs, dynamic vs static climbing, and body tension/awareness. This class is recommended for climbers who have some experience bouldering and are familiar with falling, spotting, basic footwork, and body position.

    The class will focus on: rotating hips, drop knees, heel hooks, body tension, and dynamic vs static movement with a focus on making the bouldering space feel approachable and exciting for women + NB people.
