In a land where places to dance are few and far between, House of Volta is a project that aims to bring a taste of electric nightlife to the Downeast region
This summer’s dance series promises bumping bass, flashing lights, and a space to be free

House of Volta’s music is an energetic mix of rhythms.
The night will typically begin with recognizable tunes to get you moving and then it will evolve into a sonic journey that never leads to the same place twice. Leaning heavily on the electronic music sounds of the 90s, our DJs blend house, pop, techno, hip-hop, jungle, and more to create a cohesive and exciting dancing experience.
None of the sets are pre-planned so the DJs do their best to tune in to the crowd's vibe to decide which direction the sound of the night will go.

The event will have strobe lighting, but the strobe lights will not be used until 10:00 pm. A warning will be given when they first commence for the evening. The lights earlier in the night will consist of smoother fading transitions, gentle colors, and spinning disco-like effects.
The speakers are LOUD! Earplugs will be available for those who would like to protect their ears. Additionally, if you get overwhelmed by the noise or lights, but want to keep dancing, the Homeroom and Yoga room will be available as places where the noise will be muted and lights dim. You’re welcome to chill and hang as long as you want.
