(Heat 1

The Plastic Fantastic is graded on the top 5 boulder problems you complete within your category’s difficulty level during the day comp.

  • You will need to submit your card to a Volta Representative in each zone. They will validate your attempt.

Scores will not be peer-reviewed; they must be checked by a Volta Representative.

  • Pick the one that most accurately represents the grade that you can flash or complete in the least amount of tries.

Climb your hardest and we’ll make sure you’re scored in the class that fits you.

  • If you complete two or more boulder problems above the category you registered for, we will automatically bump you up to the next category.

  • When registering for Open, you will be asked to choose one of three divisions: Men, Women, and Nonbinary/Gender Non-conforming. The top 5 competitors in each category must qualify for open class finals, which consist of four finals boulders.

    ▶ Men: V9+
    ▶ Women: V7+
    ▶ Nonbinary/Gender Non-conforming: V8+

  • The tiebreaker will be the number of attempts.

  • Finals rules will be announced day-of.
