Southwest Library’s storytime extraordinaire Ms. Chrissy will be providing a storytime, with tales about climbing, perseverance, and problem solving, puppets, bubbles, songs, rhymes, and more. 

If you’re interested in staying and climbing, Volta’s program coordinator will give a short introduction to climbing safety and help you prepare for your climbing adventures. Let our welcoming and experienced staff make it easy and enjoyable for you and your child to take your first steps into the exciting world of climbing!

10:00 AM-10:40 AM Storytime with Ms. Chrissy

• Meet on the mezzanine at Volta at 10:00 AM

• Storytime is free! You’re welcome to join us for a fun morning and just visit the space. 

• If you’re planning to stay and climb, you can pay at the front desk.
  

10:30 AM -11:00 AM Facilitated Intro to Climbing

• Different types of climbing

• General climbing safety

• Climbing with small kids

• How to properly put on a harness 
  

11:00 AM-12:00 PM Climbing

• Staff will be available to belay on the ropes and help out in the bouldering section

• Feel free to stay and climb longer!
